everyone is beautiful

... by Katherine Center

Meet Lanie Coates … wife to an aspiring musician and mother to three young and highly energetic boys. Struggling with being relocated from her hometown Houston, TX to Cambridge, MA, she is trying to care for her boys without the help of her family, be a supportive wife to her husband who is trying to score an internship in California over the Christmas holiday, and find herself amidst low self-esteem issues and a serious identity crisis.

With the help of her mother’s old cameras, Lanie discovers her passion for photography and for the first time in years, is taken time for herself. Adding the nightly runs to the gym, her life becomes busier and more disorganized than ever.

Katherine Center has given us an honest peek into motherhood with all its ups and downs. Picturing her boys covered in maxi pads was hilarious and trying to imagine one of them poop in her friends bedroom produced more than a few chuckles. Adding her quirky, but classy friend Amanda, neighbors Josh and Nora, and of course her adoring husband Peter, this novel is a must read!
